At Your Time And Place we are commited to offering Student placements that meet the needs of our students, their clients and the business.
Student counsellors will be valued team members, feeling supported and held throughout your journey with us. The placement includes 90 minutes of free supervision per month, free insurance and room hire.
We understand the pressures that student counsellors face trying to balance study requirements with real life and often financial commitments.
A placement with Your Time And Place offers genuine support with personal development as well as in your client work. Our therapeutic community provides the opportunity to network and become the ethical counsellor that you choose to be.
Working within our community you will have a varied, adult client base. All clients will have an initial assessment with a qualified and accredited therapist to ensure they are suitable for low-cost counselling.
We know how difficult it can feel to take these first tentative steps on your journey but we are here to support you.

How Does It Work
Step 1: Introductions
Come and meet us and see if we are a good fit to work together. What are your/our expectations of the placement.
Step 2: Induction
Initial induction where we will clearly set out policies, client referrals etc to ensure that we are all working safely and ethically.

You are more than ready to take this next step and we will be here to support you.

What support is in place for student counsellors?
You will have regular meet ups with a manager from Your Time And Place as well as your monthly supervision. you will also still access support from your training facility.
Can I choose my own supervisor?
Your Time And Place has external supervisors in place. They have been assessed and we are confident of their competence to practice, use of BACP ethical framework and ability to offer the required support to our counsellors.
